Mark D'Angelo a native or North Vancouver, holds a Master of Music Degree from the University of McGill in Montreal, Q.C. In addition to his studies in Montreal Mark has studied all across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Central America. As an accomplished Classical musician Mark has performed in concert with groups such as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the CBC Radio Orchestra, Thunder Bay Symphony, Vancouver Island Symphony, American Brass Quintet, Aspen Festival Orchestra, Briefcase Brass Quintet, Cascades Brass Quintet, and both the 2006 and 2007 National Youth Orchestra's of Canada. As a soloist Mark has performed Handel's Messiah with the Canada West Chamber Orchestra; Concerto's with the Capilano University Wind Ensemble, North Vancouver Youth Band, and premiered solo pieces written for him such as Delaware by Rob Teehan, with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada Brass Ensemble, and Winter Suite by Elizabeth Knudson. In addition to classical performance, Mark's freelance career has led to him being imersed heavily in world music. Mark has performed extensively world-wide with Mariachi Los Dorados, one of Canada's leading Mariachi bands. In this band Mark acts as a Trumpet player, Vocalist, and arranger for many tunes. He has also had the opportunity to study and tour in Mexico, and perform in many festivals alongside groups such as Mariachi Vargas, Mariachi Cocula, and Mariachi Imperial. Mark has also performed with Tanga, and Groupo Tabasco Latin Jazz ensembles, and was a Producer on Tanga's newest disc "Simmer and Serve. Mark has recorded with "Rita Chiarelli" and the Thunder Bay Symphony, Mariachi Los Dorados, Corbin Murdoch and the Nautical Miles, Amelia, Stephen Day, Mcgill Big Band One, and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada to name a few. Mark is currently working on his first solo album.
